Wow, what a gem. This one wasn't on our radar until a friend recommended it for their array of great IPAs and it was a much appreciated recommendation. Icarus is tucked away in a small industrial plaza. Very underwhelming outside. The food truck did make it look more appealing. Once inside it opens to an upbeat tasting room with around 20 beers to chose from on the wall. Then you notice the other room with casks lined along the wall...once inside this room, you are delighted to see it also has a full tasting bar. The flight was excellent. Most notable was Bang Kitty - very complex beer with lactose, lemongrass, thai chilis, etc. Wasn't the first beer we'd seek before trying yet they pulled it off and really impressed us with their craftsmanship. The stout offering was also quite good don't just stick with their IPAs. The atmosphere was fun and energetic. Amble space but there was a good crowd so may be difficult with a large group...perhaps an expansion is in the works.
Extra points, we heard this crazy fun music and with the help of Shazam found out it was Gogol Bordello...on the way out we noticed they were spinning it on vinyl ...very fun.
