District 96 was recommended by some friends in the area and it didn't disappoint. This place focuses equally on the quality and variety of both their beer and food. We love how there are 2 main sections: a beer tasting section and a restaurant area (also have a outdoor seating area). We stopped in for a late lunch and the place was busy which is always a good sign (this is why available parking was limited and might be an issue during peak times). Our party of 10 was seated comfortably and excited to see the beer and food options. This is not typical bar food...we ordered things like bunless burgers and lobster rolls. Everything was excellent. Perhaps the one drawback of sitting in the restaurant area was that our server didn't have in depth knowledge of all the beers, which was fine. She was still able to aid us in selecting our flights. We got the sense you really couldn't go wrong with any selection. They also have some other non-beer alcoholic options. But our focus was on the beer and the ones that really stood out were their Kolsch (avail year round) and Photo Op (NEIPA). We also enjoyed the taste as much as the descriptions of All About That Base "Malts" and Liquid Personality. Next time we'll try the beer tasting section which looked very classy and welcoming. This may not be the best place for a very large hockey group but everyone in a small to medium group should be able to find something they will greatly enjoy.
