Our first Winner was Fifth Frame Brewing Co. (click for full brewery review).
We were thrilled to have Fifth Frame as our first winner as we had many, many other considerations. They set the bar very high for other breweries to try to follow. What we loved: the BEER, the vibe, the location and the staff. Everyone in Rochester told us to check out Fifth Frame and they were right, the beer is PHENOMENAL. We stuck to the IPAs and they just kept getting better with each sample. They have very little swag which tells us they focus on the beer – and it shows. The brewery has a kitchen and decent seating but we’re sure it gets packed at peak times. The vibe in this place is cool but not to the point where their trying to be hipster cool like too many breweries. It seems natural and the staff embodies this youthful energy coupled with the confidence of experienced craftsmanship. We got the chance to meet one of the owners, Jon. We were impressed how he answered our questions while staying very attentive to others by pouring samples and getting 4pks. We gave and heard a lot of compliments by which Jon seemed both humbled and proud. It is extremely impressive with the quality of beer they are producing in a relatively short time of operation. We wish them continued success and greatly look forward to our next visit.
