This place feels like your friendly neighborhood corner bar. Not only because it is literally located on the corner, but also for its no frills, low-key chill space and staff. Besides the mandatory NJ education/tour card on the brewing process, you wouldn't know you are in a brewery. Unlike most breweries, all the brewing equipment here is hidden in the back. Another strange bit is how far the taps are from the main bar...not a big deal but seems like they did minimal construction from whatever store existed in this space before hand. Still seems clean and an enjoyable place to try some beer with a small to medium sized group.
Flights of 4, only $8 is a great price. They have a nice selection of beers...the ones we tasted were all over the board. For a small place they have some experimental styles, which we admire. We had to try Remshot, listed as an IPA but more of a hybrid - with lemon zest and hint of lactose. Seems you either love this or hate it...we'll just say it wasn't terrible but not our favorite. We were eager to try Standing on Shoulders of Giants, NEIPA. It sounds like such an epic name but the taste was just ok. We actually enjoyed their American IPA - Stare at the Sun a little more. But the best of the bunch was definitely Drizzle. This beer was unique and delicious. This is classified as a 'Pastry Stout' and it was thick, creamy and 10% abv. Crowler worthy to take home to enjoy after a nice meal...or maybe as a meal itself.
